Getting to Know Aero Series: Alex!

We wanted to introduce our little family to you through our Getting to Know Aero series. Today we will introduce to you our superstar Office Manager, Alexandria Pourewa. Get to know what shaped Alex to be the person she is now!

What drives you, Alex?

I am driven by failure, I hold myself to high expectations and believe that failure is a crucial part of growing. I have made many mistakes in my life and know that I wouldn’t have the knowledge and understanding I have today without each of those mistakes.

What can you do today that you were not capable of doing a year ago?

A year ago I never thought I would be running an office. Aero Group has given me so many opportunities to learn and grow and part of that growth has been helping our wonderful team reach their goals and expand their knowledge.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

“Run toward embarrassment not away from it and you take away its power “

What's your favourite way to spend your day off?

My days off are spent with my family, my partner and I share a dog and together we love car trips, beach days, and dog parks. As long as we are all together, that is what matters most.

What is your dream travel destination and why?

From a young age, I have always had a connection with the Ocean, I would love to travel to The Great Blue Hole in Lighthouse Reef, Belize.

What are 3 lessons you would give to your younger self?

Don’t be afraid to fail – Failure is defined as a lack of success or the inability to meet an expectation. The expectation we fail to meet is often our own, or one that we’ve created in our own head.

Focus on relationships – Dream of your biggest goal in life, and take those who support and love you endlessly with you.

Never chase happiness – If you spend all your time looking for happiness you will miss the moments happening right in front of you, and by the time you realize it will be over.
