David grew up in North Queensland and later settled in Perth, WA, at the age of 12.

Returning to Brisbane in 1983, he graduated from Queensland Institute of Technology (now QUT) in 1986. He obtained his Tax Agent registration in 1987 and has since built a career in public practice. In 2013, David completed postgraduate studies in SMSF administration at The University of Adelaide, becoming a registered SMSF auditor.  Throughout his career, David has focused on assisting individuals, investors, and small to medium businesses with their tax compliance obligations, property investments, business structures, and SMSF administration and audit. His expertise spans various aspects of taxation law and compliance, providing tailored solutions to meet client needs effectively.

Outside of work, David enjoys repairing and restoring old guitars (acoustic and electric), home maintenance and restoration projects, landscape design, gardening, and maintaining an old school MGB GT.
